Santee State Park offers over 150 tent and RV camping sites to choose from. Each site is near restroom facilities with hot showers and has individual water, electrical hookups and a picnic table. The park also has 30 cabins that are furnished, heated and air-conditioned with 10 of them being located on a pier that offers a scenic view of Lake Marion.

Fishing

Santee State Park, Santee National Wildlife Refuge and Lake Marion Resort & Marina have piers and banks suitable for fishing. If you want to have a memorable day on the lakes and know where the fish will bite, Santee Cooper Country and Lake Marion Resort & Marina offer guided fishing tours.

Kayaking, Boating and More

If you don’t own any water vessels, below are a few places you can rent from in Santee:

There are several public boat ramps to get out on the lakes including Santee National Wildlife Refuge’s primitive boat launch and Santee State Park’s two boat ramps.

Hiking

Santee State Park contains six different trails and Santee National Wildlife Refuge has 24 trails to choose from. The Santee Passage, which is a part of the Palmetto Trail, consists of 13.9 miles of hiking and biking trails with easy difficulty.
