The park also has 30 cabins that are furnished, heated and air-conditioned with 10 of them being located on a pier that offers a scenic view of Lake Marion.

If you don’t feel comfortable driving a boat yourself and still want to take in the natural beauty of Lake Marion and Moultrie, Santee Boat Rentals and Fisheagle Tours offer boat tours. There are several public boat ramps to get out on the lakes including Santee National Wildlife Refuge’s primitive boat launch and Santee State Park’s two boat ramps.


Santee State Park contains six different trails and Santee National Wildlife Refuge has 24 trails to choose from. The Santee Passage, which is a part of the Palmetto Trail, consists of 13.9 miles of hiking and biking trails with easy difficulty.
